Health & Well Being

What We Do

Providing health and well-being services is relatively new for CSC, created out of the need for more holistic work to improve the stability and sustainability of our communities. Learn more below.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we have been working with partners to get needed health services for our community to slow the spread and impact of the Coronavirus.

In partnership with Oregon Health Authority, we are providing low barrier substance use treatment, peer support, housing services, harm reduction, and employment services to community members.

In addition to specific health programs, we provide holistic, wrap-around services to move beyond transactional services, and actually transform lives.

In partnership with Oregon Health Authority, we are providing low barrier substance use treatment, peer support, housing services, harm reduction, and employment services to community members. These critically needed stability and recovery services are not dependent on being sober or ready to abstain from substance use.

COVID-19

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, we have been dedicatedly working with partners and funders to get needed health services for our community to slow the spread and impact of the Coronavirus. This includes providing vaccination and booster opportunities across our region, supporting those diagnosed with COVID-19 with essential services such as safe space to quarantine for themselves and family, paying bills, providing food and household goods, and more.

Well-Being

In addition to specific health programs, we provide wrap-around programs to move beyond transactional services, and actually transform lives. These holistic programs include housing supports, whole family approaches, and life stability services to help people learn the skills we all need to function—how to make a budget, how to take care of themselves, how to maintain a household, and more. These services, offered through our Workforce & Education department, are done in partnership with Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS). If you receive TANF or SNAP/food stamps, or want to learn more and see if you qualify, connect with us below.

Grounded in the Social Determinants of Health

We know the conditions in which our community members live, learn, work, play and age affect their health, functioning, and quality of life. This means in our mission to end poverty in the communities we serve, all of these factors must be taken into account and supported in our programs and services. Together with our dedicated community partners, this is how we’re building a brighter, more stable future for our community.
