What We Do
On a mission to build stronger and more resilient communities, we offer programs and services that speak to a wide variety of interests for youth, adults, and the whole family. While all of our education and employment services can stand alone, we weave programs together based on individual needs to provide wrap-around services that lead to long-term success.
STEP, or the SNAP Training and Employment Program, is offered across the state and CSC is just one of many contractors. This flexible program offers support and assistance where you need it, including career readiness and exploration, skill and experience building, GED, degrees, certificates and more!
Due to COVID-19, WorkSource offices are temporarily closed for in-person services.
We offer an array of programs and services to meet the needs of our community members that are looking for employment or wanting to expand their skills to widen their opportunities. We have staff satellite-located at the WorkSource centers below to assist with career coaching and exploration, educational goals, trade certificates and more. Stop by your local WorkSource center today to learn more!
As part of our WorkSource partnership, we offer a vocational scholarship funded under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Award of these funds is based on availability and eligibility. The maximum for the award is $3000. Scholarship money can be used for tuition, fees, and required books and supplies.
Part of a nationwide program, CSC YouthBuild helps young adults that have experienced barriers in their educational and employment path work toward their GED or high school diplomas while learning job skills by building affordable and sustainable housing in their communities and preparing for post-secondary success.
As an extension of our Youth House programs, the Youth Garden engages youth and young adults in active market gardening, culinary demonstrations and food distribution. This paid work experience provides hands-on work skill development for future employment success!
Attached to our Youth Garden, we offer a variety of youth programs out of the Youth House. Clients work closely with our staff to access resources and get help with career planning and exploration, educational goals and GED prep, learning life skills and so much more!
As an accredited public charter high school, Career Tech is a student-centered, active learning environment offering small class sizes and tailored education programs to fit the unique needs of Lincoln County’s students and families. Career Tech engages students in relevant learning opportunities both inside and outside of the school with innovative programs and courses, preparing students for their future careers.
Specializing in hands-on training, we help youth and young adults re-engage with their educational goals, pursuing work and/or preparing for post-secondary education. With our garden, culinary program, makers space STREAM lab, and so much more, our dedicated staff are ready to help you achieve your education and employment goals and work towards a more stable future.
