The Magic Barrel Returns to Whiteside

From the Corvallis Advocate:

Amid all of the brouhaha of the end of October, many are looking past those celebrations to focus on the literary event known as “The Magic Barrel: A Reading to Fight Hunger.” After two years off due to the pandemic, this event is finally returning to the Whiteside.

The Magic Barrel, which began in 1993 due to a story by the same name from  Oregon State University’s Professor Bernard Malamud, is a chance to hear some Oregon writers reading their own words, to hear some great music, and best of all to support the Linn-Benton Food Share.

Come on over to the Whiteside Theatre, located at 361 SW Madison Ave., on Friday, November 4 for a bite, a beer, and a chance to reclaim the literary life in Corvallis. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. (Click here for ticket information)

If you can’t make the reading but want to support Linn-Benton Food Share, then follow this link.
